Alcatel OneTouch Launch Event
Alcatel OneTouch recently hosted a launch and press event at The Drake Hotel in Toronto to showcase some exciting new devices added to their impressive lineup of budget smartphones. Tech professionals and their media counterparts got to mingle, sample the venue’s creative hors d’oeurves, and demo the soon-to-be-released devices.
Steve Cistulli, SVP of North America at Alcatel OneTouch makes opening remarks.
Our team at Bell was excited to preview the Idol 2 S and experience first-hand some of the new features the LTE smartphone has to offer. A great device for new users, it offers initial prompts that highlights and explains each aspect of the phone. These built-in tutorials are like having an Alcatel OneTouch product expert by your side as you get your phone set up. We also learned about many of its unique camera features like the easy and convenient built-in QR code reader.

The camera also carries a smile detection feature, where a photo is automatically taken when your subject flashes those pearly whites. (Perfect for the many selfies we took over the course of the evening.)
