This campaign helps Canadian Business and Technology start-ups by inviting them to present their business plans and product ideas for a chance to win $100K in prizes.
About the Backbone Start Me Up Innovation Campaign
The Backbone Innovation Campaign is open to Business and Technology start-ups with a great business plan, an innovative product or service and less than $2 million in annual sales.
Hundreds of Canada’s best and brightest start-ups that meet these requirements have submitted their applications to this year’s campaign, and expert industry judges are currently in the process of selecting the top ten finalists. Each finalist will have the chance to present their concepts to a panel of judges during a live pitch event on May 6th in Toronto at the TMX Gallery from 2 pm to 7 pm.
During the live pitch event, each of the finalists will have 10 minutes to convince the panel that their product or service represents the best of the best on the Canadian innovation scene. The winning start-up will receive $85,000 in prizes, and the runner up will receive $15,000 in prizes.
