Bell receiving the Special Award for Social Responsibility in Recruiting

Bell wins the “Campus Recruiting Program of the Year” award and the “Special Award for Social Responsibility in Recruiting” at the annual TalentEgg Conference & Awards Ceremony.

What an egg-citing day June 19, 2019 was in the world of Campus Recruitment – which marked the 8th annual TalentEgg Campus Recruitment Excellence Awards and Conference (aka “The Oscars” of the Campus Recruiting world). The full-day event at the Globe and Mail Centre in downtown Toronto, featured several panel discussions on various recruitment-related topics, as well as the presentation of 14 different awards. And who chooses the winners, you might ask? Well, the judging panel is comprised of 43 top students and recent graduates from across Canada!

This year’s panel discussion topics ranged from themes of company culture, to volunteerism in relation to recruitment, to how to take social media and video engagement to the next level! The event was also a great opportunity to connect with campus recruiters in different industries to learn about their best practices.

Bell was nominated for 9 awards, including Best Grad Program. As each award was announced, everyone at the Bell table held their breath and when the winner’s name was read aloud… “Bell!”, we erupted in cheers and applause. We were pleased to receive the award for “Campus Recruiting Program of the Year” as well as the “Special Award for Social Responsibility in Recruiting”!

Although we in the Campus Recruitment team are very pleased with the outcomes of the conference and the recognition of our efforts and hard work, we’re even more excited to see what the future holds for all the young talent we’ve had the pleasure of encountering and recruiting.

Bell has hired over 1,100 new grads since the start of our Grad Program in 2011 and we look forward to implementing our learnings from yesterday’s conference in order to continue improving and to provide the best possible programs and opportunities to young people and new grads in order to guide them to become the next generation of leaders.
