Movember story – Bradley Boulton

When I started at Bell as a summer student while attending Wilfred Laurier University, I never imagined it would turn into the career it has. I’ve now been with Bell for 25 years and have spent time as a Field Tech, an Implementation Manager and Network Manager with Network Planning and Provisioning (NPP), a Network Specialist with the FFTx Infrastructure team and I am currently with the Greenfield New Construction Partnerships Team. Our team works with residential Builders and Developers to make sure Bell has the Access Agreements required to bring fibre into the new MDU (multi dwelling unit) and SFU (single dwelling unit) developments and we partner with those builder/developers to ensure Bell has a Marketing footprint in those sites whether it be in a Bulk Internet, Exclusive Marketing or a Level Marketing capacity.
Over my time at Bell I have seen cancer and mental health affect many of my colleagues and friends. In 2009 a group of nine Bell team members joined Movember with the “Moustaches Just Got Better” team. We were able to raise just over $4,000 that first year through donations along with raffles, pot lucks and 50/50 draws. In 2010 we lost one of our Movember teammates, Bell team member Richard Armstrong, to brain cancer and we renamed our team that year to our current name “Team MoStrong”. As a team, we have raised over $102,000 since 2009 for this great cause that focuses on Men’s physical and mental health with our biggest year being 2022 when we brought in $18,731!
We have team members from Bell that work all over the country but I know there are others within the company that take part in this great event every year. Looking forward to making this year the best one yet!
